Dashing through the snow...
... across the brilliant white vistas of the Arctic tundra, riding carefree on a comfortable snowmobile, crisp fresh air filling your chest as you casually coast across frozen snow-covered waters, scanning for wildlife under an immense blue horizon.
For hundreds of years. the Inuit travelled over these snow-covered lakes and tundra on sleighs drawn forward by dog teams splayed in a fan-hitch. This is your opportunity to follow in their path. Escape the modern world's cacophony accompanied by your guide, to glide over a sparkling landscape.
Discover this astonishing expanse, unchanged for millennia. Take a leisurely ride with many stops to soak in the ever-changing scenery. Sample local delicacies, such as a fresh caribou steak, a red filet of Arctic char, or a steamy rich ptarmigan stew. At night, enjoy the cozy warmth of your hotel rooms. Depending on the conditions, you might also view the aurora borealis, the surreal, dazzling Northern Lights as they waft across a moonlit sky.
This winter package includes a visit to the hospitable community of Kuujjuaq, complete with guided tours and opportunities to buy local crafts.
